The relationship between artificial intelligence applications and the economics of the media profession and industry

Abstract

            This research aims to study the relationship between artificial intelligence applications and the economics of the media profession and industry. We find that the world has witnessed many technological developments in the recent period, and opinions have varied regarding artificial intelligence and new technologies in general, ranging from positive effects to risks. Egypt has dealt with modern technologies to cope with the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution sweeping the world. By introducing artificial intelligence into the main local sectors, albeit to varying degrees and with different results in all fields, including the media profession and its economics. The researcher used the inductive approach by reviewing scientific references, articles published in various periodicals, and research and scientific theses that dealt with the subject, analyzing them, and examining the findings of these studies and benefiting from them. The researcher tried to explore the extent of the impact of artificial intelligence applications in creating content in the Egyptian media, and the scarcity of institutional accreditation has appeared. Egyptian media outlets on the applications of artificial intelligence in the production of media content, as well as the division of opinions between supporters and opponents, fearing that these developments may continue within the scope of human control, and may get out of control and turn against humans. The analysis of these studies has shown that there is still a relationship between the applications of artificial intelligence in the Egyptian media. Limited, as for what is presented as content, it has a high level of credibility, which makes it difficult to distinguish between content written or displayed via artificial intelligence and traditional content. The researcher recommended the necessity of qualifying the Egyptian media to rely more on artificial intelligence systems in developing the system through the use of innovative technology that is based on digital data analysis tools, as well as raising awareness of the importance of the role of this system in changing the foundations of the economy and developing new theoretical frameworks and approaches that affect maximizing the efficiency of economic performance. For any media institution, as well as training and qualifying all media workers to deal with this advanced system.
