Abstract

By conducting an experimental study using three groups to identify the effect of interactive infographics on the degree of users' recall and perception of the content and comparing it to both static infographics and text only that does not contain any graphics, the results of this study confirmed the positive effect of interactive infographics on the cognitive processes of accurate memory and perception. The results of the study showed the superiority of the text over the static infographic, as the level of memory and perception increased in the group that was exposed to the text compared to the group that was exposed to the fixed infograph. The results of this study also confirmed the effect of individuals' level of mathematical skills on the level of their memory and perception of information that includes many numbers, as there is a direct correlation between the level of mathematical skills of individuals and their level of perception and recall of the content. The results of the study showed the convergence of the level of attention between the group that was exposed to the interactive infograph and the group that was exposed to the fixed infograph.
