Abstract

The results of the study showed that the news sites' treatment of the American administration's orientations towards the Syrian crisis after Trump took office, agreed in general to criminalize the Assad regime and its commission of human massacres that amount to war crimes, but there were some differences in the causes, effects and solutions provided in each of Al-Arabiya Net and Al-Hurra sites for the American administration's approach to the Syrian crisis.
Al-Arabiya Net and Al-Hurra have agreed that removing Assad and his regime from power, and defeating ISIS and terrorist elements in Syria are among the basic solutions to resolving the Syrian crisis, while Al-Arabiya Net is unique in providing a solution to the necessity of forming a fact-finding committee and prohibiting chemical weapons, and the need to help secure the necessary and life needs. For refugees, including food, medicine and medical convoys.
One of the important theses presented by Al-Hurra website, which reflects Trump's policy and which he announced in many of his speeches and statements, is fair international participation in defense expenditures.
