The importance of communicating with citizens in various ways points out the need to find a general system to be followed by all Egyptian government institutions that could ensure the unification of efforts and work methods. According to that, this study seeks to identify how Egyptian government institutions have been trying to share official statements and information through their official pages on social media platforms.
The main results of the study:
- The more individuals follow official pages, the more they know about the concept of proactive disclosure.
- The more individuals follow the official pages, the more reliable they are to the information published by the pages in times of crisis.
- The more individuals follow the official pages, the more positive attitudes they form towards those pages.
