Abstract

Abstract:
The study aimed to monitor and analyze recent Arab and foreign media studies in the field of journalistic and television innovation from various research schools worldwide in the period from 2019 to 2024 AD. This study belongs to the type of descriptive analytical research using the second-level analysis method through qualitative and quantitative analysis of (204) studies. The results of the analysis revealed:
- Foreign studies outperformed Arab studies in the two axes of the study, which is to identify the enhancement of innovations in the journalistic and television fields, as they presented multiple visions about the transformations and challenges in this industry. In contrast, Arab studies showed an increasing interest in innovation transformations supported by artificial intelligence, which reflects the rapid changes in the media industry and measures the trends of communicators about the future of journalistic and television work in light of the employment of artificial intelligence technologies.
- The results confirmed that research on innovations and their impact on journalism and television, and on communicators is still in its early stages, and requires more attention to the new innovations in both fields.
- The future vision and research agenda were represented in breaking out of the traditional system of research topics and exploring new horizons of research topics. More relevant to the reality of the challenges facing studies of journalistic and television innovation; and the necessity of conducting longitudinal follow-up studies to understand how communicators use the new innovations in news production and publishing, and their impact on the journalistic and television field.
