Media misinformation in the videos of satellite channels directed on YouTube and its relationship to the audience’s interaction with them: The Al-Aqsa Flood Case as a Model
The study seeks to monitor and analyze media deception in videos of satellite channels directed on YouTube and its relationship to the audience's interaction with them, the Al-Aqsa Flood issue as a model. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and relied on the media survey method. The study sample was a deliberate sample of videos that dealt with the Al-Aqsa Flood issue on satellite channels directed on YouTube, represented by (the Israeli i24News channel, the French France 24 channel, the American CNN channel, and the British BBC channel) in the period from October 7 to November 8, 2023. The study used first: a form to analyze the content of videos of satellite channels directed on YouTube about the Al-Aqsa Flood issue, second: a form to analyze the content to analyze the comments of the audience exposed to videos of satellite channels directed on YouTube about the Al-Aqsa Flood issue, represented by the Israeli i24News channel, the French France 24 channel, the American CNN channel, and the British BBC channel. The study concluded that outright lying came in first place as the most prominent deception methods used in The issue of the Al-Aqsa flood was discussed, followed by exaggeration and sensationalism in second place, and in third place came the reversal of the image, and in fourth place came distortion, and the public’s comments on the videos of the satellite channels directed on YouTube in discussing the issue of the Al-Aqsa flood were characterized by the fact that most of them came in the form of personal opinions in first place at a rate of (81.4%).
