Abstract

The study aimed to highlight the role of rural women in society and identify women’s challenges in light of sustainable development and sustainable rural development plans presented by the pages of women’s associations on Facebook. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and within its framework, the researcher used the analytical survey method for a sample of the associations’ pages. Feminism is represented by (Egyptian Association for Comprehensive Development, ADEW: The Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women, and Women & Society Association), and the study tools were the content analysis form.
The study produced a set of findings, the most important of which are:

The pages of women’s associations on Facebook use text and images as media used in the published material to attract the audience at a rate of 71.79%, with the aim of presenting women’s contributions in real life in society. The social contents published on the page also occupy first place at a rate of 44.87% in terms of the quality of the contents. Available to the public.
The pages of women’s associations on Facebook use several methods in presenting content, including setting a title and accompanying material, using several persuasive methods for the public, including presenting and presenting evidence and evidence, in addition to mechanisms for communicating with the public, represented by presenting coordination between the concerned parties and parties at a rate of 37.18%.
The pages of women’s associations on Facebook provide guidance and plans, which include providing educational opportunities for women, advancing women, and presenting women’s development projects and gender equality. These pages also present issues related to rural women by highlighting their work outside the home, education about sustainable development, as well as participation. In political life.
