Youth Use of Meme Content on Social Networking Sites and its Relationship to their Attitudes Towards Cyberbullying

Abstract

This Study aims to identify the uses and motivations of using "meme" content through social networking sites by youth and the gratifications achieved from using, determining the level of youth activity in sharing bullying "meme", and monitoring youth attitudes towards cyberbullying resulting from the use of bullying meme through social networking sites, The Field Study conducted with (227) Participant who use “meme” on social networking sites, The results of the study indicated that there is a positive correlation between the rate of youth's use of "meme" on social media and their attitudes towards cyberbullying, meaning that youth who use the most meme content increase their positive attitude towards cyberbullying more than others who use less of this content.
