Abstract

The study aimed to determine the faculty members' uses of digital technology and their attitudes towards e-learning in government media colleges and departments, with a study of the extent to which the faculty members' visions match the visions of those responsible for developing education at the Supreme Council of Universities to measure the gap between the established policies and the implemented policies.
The most important finding of the study was:
There is a discrepancy in the extent of the use of digital technology in the field of education among faculty members in Egyptian public universities.
There is confusion among some faculty members in understanding the meaning of e-learning
In order for e-learning to be effective and meaningful, it is necessary to develop the scientific content of the courses in line with digital technology, and to develop methods of displaying educational content and teaching methods.
There is a discrepancy in the intensity of use and behavioral patterns of faculty members in government media faculties and departments
Self-learning had the largest aspect in providing the largest percentage of faculty members with the skills to deal with technological applications in the field of education.
The age variable is not directly related to the adoption of digital technology, but the variable of the extent to which technology is dealt with and the willingness and acceptance of it in general is directly related to the faculty member’s adoption of digital technology in the educational process. Digital education without the influence of the age variable.
Lack of confidence in digital technology among some faculty members.
Most of the study sample believed that we are walking without a clear national strategy vision in which the policies of education developers are consistent with the practices of faculty members. While those in charge of the development see that everything that was used in previous periods was only solutions to get out of the Corona crisis, but coordination is being made for the coming period to use educational digital technology better than it was.
Faculty member trust and adequate training are major determinants of digital technology uptake.
