Factors affecting the acceptance of educational media students to use the Mansoura University e-learning platform in studying media courses

Abstract

Objectives of the study:
     This study aims to identify Factors affecting the acceptance of educational media students to use the Mansoura University e-learning platform in studying media courses through: -
1-      To identify the degree of acceptance of educational media students to use the Mansoura University e-learning platform in studying media courses.
2-      Identifying the most important factors affecting the behavioral intention of educational media students towards using the e-learning platform in studying media courses.
3-      Finding the relationship between the behavioral intention of educational media students towards using the e-learning platform in studying media courses and some influencing factors (Performance Expectancy - Effort Expectancy - Social Influence - Facilitating Conditions).
Study Sample:
     The study was applied to intentional sample of (277) single male and female students of the second year, a new list, and the third year an old list, the Department of Educational Media at Mansoura University, who study their media courses electronically through the educational platform of Mansoura University.
 
Methodology:
     The survey method was used, as it is considered one of the most appropriate scientific methods suitable for descriptive studies.
 
Study tools:
The questionnaire was relied on as a tool for collecting study data. It is designed to cover the study objectives and attempt to measure its hypotheses.
Study Results:

There is a statistically significant correlation between each of the (Performance Expectancy - Effort Expectancy - Social Influence - Facilitating Conditions) and the behavioral intention of educational media students to use the e-learning platform in studying media courses.
There are statistically significant differences in the behavioral intention to use the e-learning platform in the study of media courses, according to the variable of voluntariness of use in favor of mandatory use, high experience, and the absence of differences for the variables of gender and academic level.
There is a positive, statistically significant effect of (Performance Expectancy - Effort Expectancy - Social Influence - Facilitating Conditions) on the behavioral intention of educational media students to use the e-learning platform in studying media courses.
The Facilitating Conditions was the most influential factor on the behavioral intention of educational media students to use the e-learning platform in studying media courses, followed by the Performance Expectancy factor in the second rank, then the Effort Expectancy factor in the third rank, and in the fourth and final rank the Social Influence factor.
