Elite trends towards the future of fake news spread on social media

Abstract

Trends towards the Future of The Spread of Fake News on Social Media During the decade (2021-2030): Forward-looking study"
The problem of this study is determined by the identification of factors affecting the spread of fake news and misinformation on social media platforms, as well as factors of acceptance of fake news in the public, how to verify news, expert expectations of the courses of that information through social media sites, and the factors influencing those tracks over the next decade (2021:  2030), and the sample of the forward-looking study was based on a sample of 45 experts, by 15 for academic experts and practitioners in the media field, and information, to apply the method of information. Delphi to see their expectations regarding the phenomenon, and its possible paths. The study found that the spread of false news and misinformation during the decade (2021-2030) is the result of accurate interactions between several interlocking elements: technological development, the public, and communicators, Governments, social media platform policies, and for technological development, experts in the study sample stressed that technological developments of: image manipulation, video, "deep falsification", the presence of large amounts of information and the use of robotic  accounts all present difficult challenges to detect fake news, The experts also stressed the sample of the study with regard to the contact list on the need for media organizations to rely on advanced training programs that enable contacts to verify false news, especially with the development of artificial intelligence techniques and deep counterfeiting mechanisms.
