Abstract

The study aims to uncover the form and content of the media message presented by the news applications of the Egyptian and foreign newspapers via smartphone, and the mechanisms used in each of them, and this study belongs to descriptive studies, and within its framework, the researcher used the survey method and used the content analysis tool as tool to collect the required data.
The study was limited to analyzing the content of news applications of the Egyptian and foreign newspapers, in the news applications of Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper, Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, Al-Watan newspaper, the news applications of The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Times.
By analyzing the form and content of the Egyptian and foreign news applications, the Egyptian news applications did not benefit from the digital revolution in a broad way, so it used digital technology to display the media message in the framework of (photo albums - video, infographics), while it overlooked some technologies that were a product of the digital revolution and that foreign news applications used, making them richer than other
 applications (such as the podcast feature, the virtual reality feature, the augmented reality feature, the feature for attending webinars through the electronic platforms of the application, the electronic radio feature of the news app, the video live broadcast feature, the live chat feature, and foreign newspapers provided mechanisms Following the author and their articles, while no Egyptian applications used them.
