Abstract

The study seeks to identify the growing role of traditional and new media in managing the political process, with a focus on this role in stimulating participation, which is the stage of media mobilization and mobilization that precedes the elections. The importance of the study is due to the fact that it examines the stage of media mobilization towards participation in the elections, where field application was carried out before the election process and to measure its political effectiveness in influencing the public. The study revealed that there is not a statistically significant correlation between exposure rates to traditional and new media and motivation to participating in elections, and there are also non-statistically significant differences between respondents according to their demographic variables in the motives and effects of their exposure to different media to obtain information about the elections.
