Abstract

The problem of the study is determined in monitoring and analysing the news frameworks for the press coverage of each of the events of the Paris terrorist attacks that took place in France on 11/13/2015, and the terrorist incidents in the southern suburb (Burj Al-Barajneh) that took place in Lebanon on 11/12/12. Based on a survey that was conducted from 13-14 November 2015 until the end of March 2016, the results of the study concluded that: 1- News coverage of the events under study - despite its importance at the quantitative level - was characterized by limited quantities. However, on the other hand, the coverage was distinguished at the qualitative level. 2- The results showed that it is not a requirement that the intensity and multiple use of the means of highlighting is related to the intensity of press coverage of a topic, which may give an indication of the absence of the relationship between the amount of interest in the event on the one hand and the way it is presented or highlighted on the other hand, which is evidenced by the situation in coverage of the Middle East. 3- The source (Correspondents) emerged in the first place in covering the two events in the two newspapers of the study.
