Abstract

The research problem is crystallized in monitoring and analyzing the role of talk show programs presented on Egyptian satellite channels in shaping Egyptian youth’s awareness of the phenomenon of terrorism, and the extent of youth dependence on these programs in obtaining information related to this phenomenon.
Main results :
The youth in the study sample are convinced of the danger of terrorism and its anti-humanity and rejection of all religions, and the extent of Islam's tolerance and emphasis on love. They also did not overlook an important issue which is the funding of some foreign countries for terrorist organizations, which helps to exacerbate the problem.
However, adopting a culture of dialogue was not supported by most of the vocabulary of the sample, although it is one of the most important means that must be used to combat terrorism and eliminate it, so this matter must be reconsidered and an attempt is made to conduct cultural awareness campaigns regarding the culture of dialogue
