Abstract

The field study was conducted on a regular random sample of 150 items total, divided equally between a sample of Egyptian voters residing in Saudi Arabia participating in the Egyptian presidential elections in 2012, and another sample of Egyptian voters residing in Riyadh participating in the Egyptian presidential elections in 2014.
The results of the study concluded that foreign media came out on top of the list of sources that helped Egyptian voters obtain information and decide to vote for the Egyptian presidential candidate in the 2012 and 2014 elections.
And that the Egyptian voters do not believe that their presence in Saudi Arabia is related to the decision to vote in the Egyptian presidential elections, at 59.3%, while 31.3% believe that there is some relationship.
As for the 2014 elections, the influence of the communication environment on the decision of the Egyptian foreign voter came through personal contact first, then the Saudi media. The Saudi society’s interest in the candidateز
