Abstract

This study is concerned with analysing the position of the Arab press discourse, especially Saudi Arabia, towards the Egyptian regional role after June 30, 2013.
The most prominent theses presented on the regional role of Egypt in the two papers of the study focused on several main theses that include: trends in the press discourse towards the boundaries of the Egyptian regional role in the region, features of the reality picture in the Egyptian society in the current period, trends of the press discourse towards the Egyptian Gulf relations, and his vision of the position The Egyptian state is free of terrorism, whether within its borders or in the region.
Some events in the external political context also had an impact on the press discourse, most notably the leaks provided by some pro-Brotherhood media aimed at disturbing the relationship between Egypt and the Gulf states, which led to the focus of the press discourse on the depth and strength of the Egyptian-Saudi relations
