The current study aims to shed the light on design principles that were employed in producing newspaper applications monitoring the design of typographical, graphic and technological elements in mobile journalism applications, and identifying the public's preferences for designing typographical and graphic elements within the applications. This was conducted through form analysis, an electronic questionnaire and structured interviews with those responsible for designing the applications used. The study sample consisted of Al-Ahram applications, Youm 7 and Al-Wafd, and 300 young people who have smart phones.
