Abstract

The study tries to find out the relationship between exposure to rumors (political, economic, social, military, religious and educational) through social media platforms on the mood of Saudi and Egyptian public opinion, negatively or positively, and how these networks have given rumors new horizons and even new goals, and to reach indications about which have the strongest influence on the public’s mood by testing some hypotheses of the Public Mood Theory related to exposure to the content of rumors on social networks that revolve around various issues and topics, and the effect of that on mood.
