International terrorism cases in the Egyptian and Arab newspapers as recognized by the Egyptian people:

Abstract

Through his browsing of current events in political life in the Egyptian and Arab newspapers, the researcher noticed events that are terrifying and frustrating most of the time. Among these events are the recent cases of international terrorism that has widely spread.
Moreover, it is worth noting that journalism in comparison to the visual, audio, and print media is distinguished by its accuracy in disseminating information. Developing on that, the researcher noticed the increasing interest of newspaper editors in publishing news and events about terrorist bombings with criticism and analysis. This calls for researching further the international terrorism issues in the Egyptian and Arab newspapers as seen by the Egyptian people. The researcher is trying to study this within the framework of the determinants of media awareness.
Accordingly, the research problem of this study is summarized in an attempt to answer the following question: What is the relationship between exposure to international terrorism issues in the Egyptian and Arab newspapers and how the Egyptian people see them within the framework of the determinants of media awareness?
