Abstract

Television drama has an important role in viewers’ adaption of social reality and different values, whether positive or negative. Hence, interest in the impact of the content presented through foreign dramas, including the Korean series on Arab satellite channels, on viewers, has increased considering the strong competition between those channels to attract the largest number of viewers.
The media value of these productions lies in their ability to pass on ideas and influence youth indirectly. This tool is considered one of the most successful methods, as it contributes to raising their cultural, scientific, and moral stands. Following on that, Korean soap operas strongly convey the customs and morals of Korean society which affects its audience, including the Arab youth.

Considering the above, this study seeks to identify the attitudes of the Egyptian and Saudi university students towards the image of social and family relations presented through the Korean series on Arab satellite channels.
