Abstract

This study seeks to examine the effect of exposure to graduating levels of violence within the news story on the public's perceptions of the issue under discussion, by designing four news models graded in the level of violence focusing on victims of car accidents, by presenting graded levels of modeling (The lower level - the middle level - the highest level - the extreme level), to express violence, and measure the effect of each level on the public's perception of this issue.
The study employs the assumptions about exemplification, which indicate that individuals are more affected by information derived from models presented to them than by data from various sources.
