This is due to their far-reaching impact in supporting the educational system in both its scientific and media dimensions, and the cognitive aspects that are the focus of this study. The study aimed to identify the role of Resalat Al-Jamia (The University Message) newspaper at King Saud University knowledge balance of postgraduate students. A descriptive survey methodology was employed, and the study population consisted of postgraduate students at King Saud University. The final study sample included 301 students. The researcher used a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool, followed by data analysis. Among the key findings was that all participants demonstrated awareness of the concept of mass communication. Additionally, the results across the axes—namely, the role of mass communication in knowledge construction and development, knowledge organization, and knowledge accessibility—showed a high level of agreement among respondents, with the overall average rating being “Agree.” The study recommended restructuring the vision, mission, and objectives of the university's Risalat newspaper, incorporating a knowledge-based approach.
