Communication activities of Egyptian health diplomacy and its role in raising awareness of the national project for comprehensive health insurance and achieving beneficiary satisfaction

Abstract

The study sought to verify a main objective, which is: Monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the communication activities carried out by the Egyptian Ministry of Health, in raising awareness of the importance of the National Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, and the efforts made to achieve beneficiary satisfaction. The study belongs to the type of descriptive studies that rely on the survey method in its analytical and field aspects. The study used quantitative and qualitative tools in collecting data, as the questionnaire was distributed to a deliberate sample of (200) individuals from the beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system. A qualitative analysis was conducted of the posts on the official Facebook page of the National Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, for a period of 12 months in the period between: 1/1/2024 to 1/1/2025. In-depth interviews were conducted with some officials working in the National Health Insurance Project. The most important results of the study were: social media came at the forefront of the sources from which sample members know information about the comprehensive health insurance system at a rate of (35.0%), followed by television at a rate of (27.0%). Regarding the degree of public satisfaction with the comprehensive health insurance system, the first place was achieved High satisfaction, at a rate of (58.5%), came in second place with medium satisfaction, at a rate of (19.5%), came in third place with weak satisfaction, at a rate of (17.0%), and came in fourth place, at a rate of (5.0%).
