Artificial intelligence technologies used in healthcare and their employment models within the framework of the World Health Organization's principles, responsible artificial intelligence and perceived risks as well as reflecting in the discourse of international and Arab newspaper websites.

Abstract

This study aims to monitor and analyze the problems of employing artificial intelligence technologies used in the health sector in the discourse of international and Arab newspaper websites, as well as their technical advantages and risks. This study is based on the standards of responsible artificial intelligence, the relevant legislation, and the principles of the World Health Organization. The study relies on a media survey approach, document analysis tools, and discourse analysis.
The sample of newspaper websites analyzed in the study consists of the websites of international newspapers: the American New York Times, the British Guardian, and the Chinese English-language China Daily. The sample of Arabic newspaper websites under study consists of the website of the Saudi Arqaam newspaper and the website of the Emirati Al-Emarat Al-Youm newspaper
The study results indicate that the discourse of international newspaper websites regarding the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of healthcare, although it focused on the advantages of using artificial intelligence technologies in the field of healthcare, also focused on the problems of using artificial intelligence technologies, and specifically generative artificial intelligence in the field of health, medicine and healthcare, and the risks and negatives it poses.
While the study results indicate that the discourse of Arab newspaper websites regarding the use of AI technologies in healthcare focused on the healthcare and medical services provided by AI and the use of its technologies in healthcare, Al-Emarat newspaper discussed it within the context of adopting AI technologies in medicine and healthcare and supporting innovation in healthcare.
