The role of digital media in spreading awareness of healthy nutritional practices Considering the National Health Strategy 2024-2030

Abstract

 
The announcement of the National Health Strategy in Egypt 2024-2030 is considered a road map, and its launch is important for the health sector in Egypt in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The research problem crystallizes to monitor the efficiency of the use of digital technology in promoting and increasing nutritional awareness among the Egyptian public. The study relied on the theory of disseminating new ideas, it seeks to answer the main question: How effective is digital media in increasing nutritional awareness among the Egyptian public?
 The study concluded that the main factor regarding the use of digital media technology in the efficiency of benefiting from providing healthy nutritional content is related to the quality of the content provided in terms of its accuracy, validity, and reliability. The respondents of the study sample also indicated the need for review and auditing by institutions such as the National Institute of Nutrition and the Ministry of Health to ensure the accuracy of the nutritional content presented on websites, official pages, and smart applications.
