Abstract

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the role of the communicator in enhancing electronic services through the electronic platforms of higher education institutions, with a specific focus on the "ZAD" platform at Sohag University. The study adopted the descriptive method as its research approach, applying it through purposive sampling of system administrators (MIS) via in-depth interviews with all system administrators (technical support personnel) to explore their opinions and perspectives on the nature of their work within the "ZAD" electronic platform. It also aimed to assess the status of the electronic services they provide through this platform at Sohag University as one of the higher education institutions. The sample consisted of 15 system administrators (technical support personnel) affiliated with the Electronic Services Unit. Relying on Media Richness Theory, the study pointed to several findings, including: Electronic platforms contribute to more efficient data management and ensure the integrity of administrative and academic processes, thereby enhancing the quality of e-learning within academic institutions. It is essential to improve the performance of the human workforce responsible for data entry and to develop their capabilities in handling high-quality, continuously updated data. This can be achieved by providing effective training through recurring courses that help them keep up with the evolving features of electronic platforms and ensure immediate and easy access to them.
