The role of Animation on YouTube in developing the social behaviors of children with disabilities and integrating them into Egyptian society

Abstract

The research aims to identify the role of YouTube animation in developing the social behaviors of children with disabilities and integrating them into Egyptian society. The research relies on the (survey) approach in its field and analytical aspects, which depends on designing a content analysis form and applying it to a sample of animated videos for people with disabilities that are displayed on YouTube, as well as designing two questionnaire forms: a form applied to psychologists in schools that have students with disabilities, consisting of (147) and a form for a sample of mothers of people with disabilities, consisting of (207) individuals. The research reached a set of results, the most important of which is that there is a statistically significant correlation at the level (≤ 0.05) between people with disabilities’ exposure to YouTube animation and the development of their social behaviors, as the correlation coefficient reached (0.562) and the significance level (0.01). There is also a statistically significant correlation at the level (≤ 0.05) between people with disabilities’ exposure to YouTube animation. And their ability to integrate into society, where the correlation coefficient reached (0.382) and the significance level was (0.01).
