The use of qualitative analysis programs in Arabic digital viewing platforms' drama researches MAXQDA program as a model

current study aims to analyze how qualitative analysis programs are used in researching and studying Arab drama content.It explores the advanced features and functions of MAXQDA that contribute to enhancing the quality of qualitative analysis by presenting a practical model for using the program on the study sample to analyze digital drama.The researcher employed the media survey method and qualitative analysis, using MAXQDA as a tool to input data related to research on original drama productions for digital platforms, specifically examining the portrayal of women in drama works presented on the digital viewing platform ‘Shahid’ as a model for dramas that address women’s issues, with a female actress playing the leading role.
The study reached several key findings, including that qualitative analysis using specialized software enables researchers to obtain more precise and validated results compared to traditional qualitative analysis reliant on manual effort. The coding process facilitates the researcher’s ability to capture recurring words, thus enabling accurate and automated analysis of the dramatic text. Using qualitative analysis programs like MAXQDA saves time and effort during the results extraction phase and in linking variables. However, it may require more time and effort during the coding and encoding phase. The program can be more beneficial for research in English or foreign content due to the ease of the coding process.
