The study aimed to identify the impact of Tik Tok usage among Saudi youth and to examine the potential existence of statistically significant differences in usage based on the demographic characteristics of Saudi youth (gender, age). The descriptive survey method was used to understand the impact of Tik Tok on Saudi youth. The field study was conducted on a sample of 505 young Saudis from various regions of the Kingdom. The researcher used a questionnaire to collect data from the sample, and after verifying the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, it was administered to the sample. The study yielded several key findings, including:
The most preferred time for using Tik Tok is in the evening. The primary reason for using Tik Tok is its quick interaction. Filling leisure time is the main motivation for using Tik Tok. Watching videos is the most common activity on Tik Tok among the sample. Most users believe that using Tik Tok has led to a decline in their academic performance. Tik Tok has altered the users' thoughts and lifestyle. A significant portion of Tik Tok users (53.7%) can completely give up using it, while 46.3% cannot. There are no statistically significant differences in the average daily Tik Tok usage based on gender. There are statistically significant differences in the average degree of Tik Tok usage and its impact based on gender and age.
