The main objective of this study is to identify and analyze the perspectives of academic and practitioners' experts regarding the current and future factors and variables influencing the future of printed journalism in Egypt between 2024 and 2034. This analysis aims to develop potential and expected scenarios for the printed journalism phenomenon in Egypt. The study adopted a system analysis approach and employed a comprehensive set of methods and tools to achieve its objectives, including morphological analysis, the Delphi method, and scenario writing. The results indicated a consensus among experts that, with the continued significant decline in circulation numbers, media organizations will transmit their printed publications to digital and online versions,. However, some major institutions such as Al-Ahram and Al-Akhbar will continue to print a limited number of copies, serving as a static document that cannot be altered or deleted, as it will be the path of joining the journalists' syndicate and preserving their image. Regarding the predicted future scenarios for printed journalism in Egypt over the next decade (2024-2034), the study concluded that two scenarios are possible: a creative (optimistic) scenario and a declining (pessimistic) scenario while the current scenario has been ruled out due to the rapid digital transformation and the challenges facing printed journalism. The best-case scenario would involve maintaining the current level of print circulation (which is already minimal) through further developments to address these challenges. However, even this scenario implies a degree of optimism through the integration of print and digital media on the level of the single journalistic organization.
