This study aimed to identify Egyptian youth realization parents’ use of the Tik Tok and its influences. It is a descriptive study, depending on survey approach, and the study applied on 331 students who and their parents use Tik Tok in two universities, the study depended on two theories: Uses and Satisfactions theory and Third Person Effects. The most important results of the study: Entertainment and amusement” came at the forefront of families’ motivations for sharing videos on Tik Tok, and “spending leisure time” ranked second, then it was followed by the desire for fame, then following current events, and the desire to obtain money came in fifth place, and the results confirmed the presence of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral effects on parents as a result of their use of the Tik Tok (from the respondents’ point of view), Youth believe that Tik Tok has affected family values, principles, and the way society views parents. The results also confirmed that Tik Tok changes their concept of the image of their parents, as well as the role of parents in the family has declined after they have became accustomed to it. The use of Tik Tok led to the revelation of many family secrets and an imbalance in social relationships. One of the most important solutions expressed by youth was the necessity of conducting intensive awareness campaigns about the dangers of sharing videos about the family on Tik Tok, and not sharing any information of parents or private photos on Tik Tok to preserve the family’s reputation.
