This research seeks to analyze the effect of using graphic/photographic images on children’s awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and their behaviors. The photo is considered as a very strong news tool that can be directed to a child because of its ability to influence them. This study aims to examine the influence of two types of image on children through an experiment was conducted on two groups of children chosen randomly from two schools in Minya Governorate. The research concluded that the differences between the mean of degrees of the group that was exposed to the graphic images and the the mean of degrees of the group that was exposed to camera photos were not statistically significant, meaning that both types of graphic and photographic images had almost the same effect among the participant children. Results also showed that the rate of perception of the image, regardless of its type, had a positive effect on the rate of perception of the importance of preserving the environment and the environmental behavior expected from children. This study also indicates that a number of research variables related to changes in age and gender, which requires future research on these variables.
