This study aims to monitor how video journalism on YouTube news channels covers climate change. The researcher focused on (VIDEO7 & BBC ARABIC) YouTube channels as the analytical sample, from 1 November 2022 until the end of 2023, during the period of the COP27 climate summit in Egypt and COP28 in UAE. By analyzing 253 videos, the study revealed that official sources come on top of all news story sources. Climate change Solutions came in first among the main ideas in the videos. This may explain the emergence of results and solution frames in the first place in coverage. Both YouTube channels focused on logical persuasion paths in coverage which is appropriate to the serious issue. Explaining risks and supporting solutions to address climate change came at the forefront of video journalism goals in covering climate change. Positive attitude also dominated the coverage of about half (50.99%) of the sample. Video journalism coverage took on an international level considering that the issue is global.YouTube’s audience interaction level was weak in liking, commenting, or sharing videos. While BBC Arabic channel achieved a high level of viewership (more than 1000 views) for all its videos, in contrast to the Video 7 channel.
