The role of the official page of the Eco Egypt campaign on Facebook in supporting the promotion of eco-tourism in Egypt: An analytical study

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the official page of the Eco Egypt campaign on Facebook in promoting eco-tourism in Egypt, by analyzing the content of the posts that the page covered from the beginning of the campaign’s launch in September 2020 until the end of December 2023, which amounted to (274) posts, with the aim of identifying the most important contents. Which the page dealt with, and the most important methods it followed to form positive images of the natural reserves that it dealt with promoting, within the framework of the model of forming images of tourist destinations as a theoretical approach. The study concluded that the page was able to show a positive image of the Egyptian environmental tourism destinations that it dealt with by providing unique content that Reviews Egypt's wealth in natural reserve areas; It includes stunning landscapes, animals, birds, and rare vegetation, with the aim of encouraging the page’s followers to visit it and enjoy the experience of this unique type of tourism.
