The tendency of the press elite to cancel the paper edition of the Egyptian evening newspapers

Abstract

The study aimed to monitor the trends of the evening press elites towards the decision to cancel the paper edition of the evening newspapers. The study used the descriptive survey and in-depth interview and questionnaire paper as data collection tools. The importance of the study stems from the fact that it discusses and reviews the journalistic elite's trends around the abolition of the paper version of the evening daily newspapers and their vision of the current situation of the evening paper press in terms of professionalism. In addition, the press elite in these newspapers have developed a set of solutions to improve the level of paper journalism in terms of the level of content provided and how to promote it, and that they provide results that help Egyptian press institutions that publish evening newspapers to discover the shortcomings in performance in all its aspects administratively, professionally, distributing and marketing.
The study found a series of findings:
- The results of the study indicated that the majority of the study sample found that the study papers did not suffer from a distribution crisis and that the majority of the sample study confirmed that the decision to cancel the paper version of the evening newspapers was the trend of the world's press institutions to abolish the paper version, While the majority of the sample in the Al-Ahram Evening and Evening News newspapers confirmed that the decision to cancel the paper version of the evening newspapers was similar to the contents of the paper newspapers; Resulting in weak distribution
 - The results of the study indicated that the majority of the study sample did not support the decision to cancel the paper version because paper newspapers would remain an undisputed documentation tool, and that the majority of the study sample confirmed that the paper version could be returned
- The results of the study indicated that the majority of the study found that the constant development of journalistic content to be one of the most important editorial proposals for the return of the paper version of the newspaper in editorial terms, and the development of new, sophisticated and clear management policies and strategies that would make it easier for workers to apply and hold them accountable in the light of which one of the most important administrative proposals for the return of the paper version of the evening newspapers
- The results of the study indicated that the majority of the sample supported the processing and posting of a PDF copy by the Al-Ahram Evening and Evening Newspapers on its website.
-The results of the study indicated that the total sample of the study in the three newspapers confirmed that the newspaper did not dispense with any of the journalists in the newspaper after the cancellation of the paper version.
