Abstract

 "The study aims to explore the trends of the Saudi audience in utilizing holographic technology on social media platforms as an added value to achieve domestic tourism promotion. Additionally, it seeks to uncover the concept of holographic technology for the Saudi audience, the sample of this study."

The study employed a survey methodology, with a sample size of 200 individuals from the Saudi public. The sample was collected using a snowball sampling method, and an electronic questionnaire was utilized as the data collection tool."
"The study yielded several key findings, with one of the most significant being that the Saudi public, as represented by the study sample, frequently engages with hologram technology in tourism-related content through media channels, with a rate of (Always) at the highest percentage of 51%. Following closely, the audience also encounters hologram technology (Sometimes) at a rate of 49%. Furthermore, the study revealed that the Saudi public, as per the study sample, primarily consumes hologram-enhanced tourism content through the (TikTok) platform, with an average score of (2.63) ranking it in the first position."
"At the forefront of occasions where the Saudi public, as per the study sample, witnessed the use of hologram technology in tourism-related content, were the (Riyadh Season Concerts), with a significant percentage of 30%. Following closely in the second position was the event (Historical Jeddah Musk Initiative) at a percentage of 21%, succeeded by the (Hologram Trip Application) in the third position with a percentage of 20%. The study confirmed the validity of the hypothesis stating: There is a statistically significant correlation between the public's attitudes toward using hologram technology on social media platforms as an added value to enhance domestic tourism promotion and their engagement rates on those platforms."
The most important recommendations:
1- Spreading awareness of modern technologies in Saudi society and Arab society, and teaching these technologies in academic curricula.
2- Expanding the use of hologram technology in tourism activities, as its positive role in promoting domestic tourism in the Saudia Arabia has been demonstrated.
