The treatment of Digital websites on the topics of environmental issues in light of achieving sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2030 “

Abstract

The study aimed to identify frameworks for addressing digital websites for environmental issues in the light of achieving sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2030 through the coverage of the Climate Summit COP 27 and using the survey method. Sky News - Al-Bawaba News website) during the period from November 10, 2022 to February 10, 2023. The study concluded:

The media treatment of environmental issues and climate issues in the study sites aimed at "presenting a reality report" by 30%, then "showing the positive results of the conference" by 16.6%, and in the third place came the goal of "explaining the risks of climate change" by 12.3% in the ranking. The fourth target came to "support government efforts and official practices," with a rate of 12.1%.
The topic of "Enhancing cooperation among all countries of the region with regard to climate issues" came at the forefront of the topics covered by news websites when covering the COP27 climate conference, with a rate of 17.5%, followed by the topic of "Providing Help to the Most Affected Countries" with a rate of 14.7%, then The call to "reduce carbon emissions from harmful energy resources" by 11%, followed by the call to "plant trees and combat desertification" by 10.8.
“Conflicts and wars” came at the forefront of the causes of climate change, as indicated by the study sample sites, with a rate of 17.1%, followed by “increase in fossil fuel consumption” by 15.7%, followed by “residues and solid waste” with a rate of 14.4%, and the trend was towards “sustainable development and orientation To the green economy" is the first solution proposed by the news websites, the study sample, to confront the crisis of climate change, by 20.8%, then "increasing the area of ​​green areas" by 15.9%, then "the necessity of switching to renewable energy sources" by 15%, and "abandoning coal and fuel fossil".
