Abstract

There is no doubt that social networking sites(SNS); especially the media content creation and the content which presented in them among their users, raises many questions, including to what extent this discourse relates to our psychological and mental health, especially the harmful and sarcastic content on others. From this standpoint, the current study focused on investigating Cybervictimization and its relationship with many psychological disorders such as: anxiety, depression and the level of academic and functional performance, using a purposive sample of young people, (n=200), In return and to address the problem from the other side, another questionnaire was applied on Perpetrators of cyberbullying via social media to find out to what the extent Cyber perpetration is linked to many psychological disorders such as narcissism, sadism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy; using a purposive sample of young people, (n=200). The results reveals that there is a statistically significant correlation between exposure to SNS bullying and the low level of psychological and mental health among the respondents, as well as there is a significant relationship between the Cyberbullying perpetration and dark tetrad personalities.
