The study sought to monitor and analyze the frames of the press coverage of the tragedy of the child Rayan during crises on Arab and foreign news sites, and to know the extent of agreement and difference between the sites in the images they provide; This is done by conducting a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the content of these images by using the analysis of the illustrated frames published on the study sites : (Egyptian Al-Ahram, Moroccan Hespress, British Guardian, American New York Times), during the time period from 1/2/2022 to 15/2/ 2022 .

The study reached several important results, including : There are many Visual frames that Arab and foreign news websites relied on, where the "Human Interests" frame issued a list of photojournalistic coverage frames that dealt with the tragedy of the child Rayan in the first place with a percentage of (33.9%), followed by a frame in the second order. Social sympathy” with a percentage of (27%), then came in the third arrangement the framework of “Arab and foreign reactions” with a percentage of (10.9%), and then came in the fourth arrangement the framework (political interactions, humanitarian aid) equally at the rate of (8%), and then came in the fourth arrangement The fifth rank was the “attribution of responsibility” framework at a rate of (6.6%), and in the sixth and final rank came the “ethical” framework at a rate of (5.5%), The study sites also relied on several mechanisms in framing, and the “emphasis” mechanism that expresses the press photos of Rayan’s tragedy occupied the first place with a large percentage (60.9%), followed by the “underestimation” mechanism with a percentage of (23.2%), and then came in the third place a mechanism. Intimidation (12.8%), and finally, the “blackout, intimidation” mechanism came with a small percentage (1.9%, 1.2%), The results of the study showed that the positive trend is predominant in the study sites presenting the tragedy of the child Rayan and his suffering over the course of five days since he fell into the well and supporting the efforts made to save him. And the accompanying editorial material, where “Total Harmony” was issued with a large percentage (81.8%) compared to “Partial Harmony” with a percentage of (18.2%)
