Digital awareness of the media elite and its role in protecting Egyptian national security

The Study aimed to reveal the role that digital platforms play in increasing the media elite’s awareness of Egyptian national security issues, and to identify the various effects that digital platforms have on the media elite, in addition to identifying the means and sources that the media elite rely on to elicit their information about Egyptian national security
This Study is a descriptive research, and it relied on the media survey method, and the sample survey method was used, where the researcher choose a deliberate sample of 120 individuals from the media elite from mass communication professors in public and private universities, and media professionals in newspapers and satellite channels.
The Study concluded the following results: The concept of the research sample towards digital awareness represented to the speed of obtaining information, and the ability to display information in multiple images. Social issues pursued by the media elite through digital platforms topped the list, followed by political issues, health issues, economic issues, religious issues, and finally security issues.
