The relationship between using of social media networks and spread of hooliganism among children

Abstract

this study aims to reveal the relationship between exposure to social media sports content and spread of hooliganism phenomenon among children in late childhood phase and the factors that affect this relationship such as ( type of education and parents’ level of hooliganism , the study uses survey method on a sample of 403 children in late childhood phase and uses Self-categorization theory and Social identity theory as a theoretical reference , the results indicate that the phrases which shows high level of trust in social media sports content have high relative weight - 99%- and also -49%- of the sample have high level of hooliganism , and another important result confirmed that parents’ level of hooliganism affect directly their children , the study recommended a model to supervise children use of social media  by parents regarding the important characterizations of their age phase
