The professional and ethical ideology of journalists and their relationship to covering health crises in the Arab world

Abstract

The professional and ethical ideology is the ideal typical features of the journalist in his coverage of daily events represented in objectivity, independence, ethics and transparency. Ethics is an integral part of the development of journalism as a profession. 70 journalists from different countries of the Arab world, and the application of a newspaper tool with the situation through a qualitative model in which the journalist determines the nature of the situation he or the other was exposed to at the time of his coverage of the health crisis in the Arab world.
   The study concluded that the Corona pandemic led journalists to confuse professional commitments and ideological trends when formulating their topics away from commitment to professional ethics and media message.
But in general, the role of the Arab media in confronting Corona was not at a level consistent with the weight of the health crisis, with the exception of a few cases that made serious and respectful contributions. The concept of crisis management was absent from the Arab media scene, in favor of the predominance of the quantitative monitoring aspect, with the provision of light doses of awareness and education, for weakness Effective health discourse versus occupying ample space for discussion about the impact of the virus in strengthening the existence of the role of the nation-state and strengthening patriotism
