Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the role of the official page of "Vision of Egypt 2030" on facebook in promoting sustainable development and its goals.
The study conducted a quantitative and qualitative analysis on a sample of the page's posts over a three-year period (2019-2021), which consisted of 475 posts. The author found that nearly half of the posts had a definition nature about sustainable development and its goals. The coverage of the three dimensions of sustainable development (the economic dimension, the social dimension and the environmental dimension) was unbalanced, the page adopted a one-way communication pattern and page's admins rarely interacted with the audiences. The study also provided many recommendations for page's admins to improve the page's performance in achieving its goals.
