Abstract

The concept of quality and its applications in press sites plays an important role in raising the level of performance of these sites as a means to improve performance and achieves the needs and expectations of users, especially as they face competition with traditional media and news sites. The quality of design is one of the most important means of attracting press sites, and presenting it in a simple way that draws attention by taking advantage of the distribution of spaces, colors, sizes, and shapes and converting them into attractive artistic forms that provide comfort and pleasure to the site visitor.
Therefore, the study seeks to try to identify the extent to which the quality of design has been achieved in Egyptian and foreign press sites, as well as to determine whether there are differences between them regarding the availability of design quality, and whether technological innovations such as: infographic, videograph, digital image, digital video, and podcasts in these websites are suitable for the digital transformation.
Methodology:
This study belongs to the exploratory and descriptive studies, as it depends on the descriptive analytical approach, as it is concerned with monitoring and evaluating the quality of the design of journalistic websites in an age of digital transformation, in addition to the comparative method.
Results:

The results showed the interest of the seventh day website in keeping pace towards digital in the press with the interactive structural elements, and the communicative structural elements, although it is a defact in using an e-mail, forums, chat rooms, and mailing lists.
The results revealed a lack of interest in the Egyptian and foreign websites, relatively weak, and the attention to the size of the images was not appropriate for their importance.
The results showed a complete absence from the Seventh Day website for the use of interactive or moving infographics. Which makes it unable to compete with foreign press sites.
The results revealed the interest of the Seventh Day website, and the Guardian, for designing the videograph as a private property for the newspaper, away from depending on the videograph that was designed by other parties.
There is a complete and clear absence on the Seventh Day website for using the podcast, despite its importance as an imprtant element in electronic press depends which is a clear defact in the Egyptian websites especially with the technological revolution in the press.
