Addressing the pages of Egyptian newspapers on social networks for development programs directed to the areas most in need and the Egyptian public’s attitudes towards them.

Abstract

Due to the great importance that the state gives to development programs directed to the areas most in need, represented by the "Dignified Life" initiative as one of the most important presidential initiatives for developing the Egyptian countryside and ensuring a civilized standard of life for citizens in Egyptian villages, the research problem can be crystallized, To know how the pages of Egyptian newspapers on Facebook address one of the development programs directed to the most needy areas in Egypt, which is the "Decent Life" initiative, And analyzing the Egyptian public’s attitudes towards addressing this initiative, by surveying a sample of Egyptian newspaper pages (Al Ahram, Al Wafd, and EL Youm Al Sabea) on Facebook, during the time period (from 15 July, 2021 to1 March, 2022), in addition to surveying a sample of the Egyptian public; To analyze his trends towards addressing the Egyptian newspaper pages for that initiative.The study reached several results, the most important of which are:-      EL Youm Al Sabea page ranked first in its treatment of the “Decent Life” initiative, as it attached great importance to the initiative, as it focused on the details of the implementation stages in various villages in the governorates of Egypt. Al-Ahram page came in second place, then Al-Wafd page. 

“Following up the implementation of decent life projects in the governorates” is one of the most important topics covered by the study newspapers, and it dealt with the following projects in order: (infrastructure development, housing, raising the efficiency of homes, improving health services, providing job opportunities, education, cultural development, reducing poverty rates, and improving level of rural women).
The news in the form of (image and title) ranked first among the forms of editorial arts used in the study newspapers, and "text and image together" were the most important elements of highlighting used in the press material.
The Seventh Day page had the highest rate of follow-up to the Decent Life Initiative by the respondents, followed by the Al-Ahram page, then the Al-Wafd page.
It was clear from the study’s hypotheses that following the initiative on the pages of Egyptian newspapers has a significant impact on shaping the public’s positive attitude towards that treatment, and it also has an impact on the public’s actual participation in the initiative, whether by donation or by self-effort.
The more positive the public's attitude toward the newspapers' Facebook pages addressing the initiative; The audience's interaction with the publication increased, as well as their actual participation in it, whether by donating to it, or participating in self-effort.
The (socio-economic level, and place of residence) of the respondents influences their attitudes towards dealing with a decent life initiative on the pages of the newspapers under study, as well as on the rate of their actual participation in a decent life initiative.
