Abstract

Research title: The Egyptian public opinion’s awareness of the role and effectiveness of political conferences in the country, “Youth Conference as a Model”.
Research summary: This study aimed to “recognize the extent of the Egyptian public opinion’s awareness of the role and effectiveness of political conferences in the country, and the extent of awareness among the Egyptian citizen of the impact of these conferences on young people and their future vision for development.
The study seeks to answer several questions revolving around: the extent to which respondents follow the national youth conferences, what media they follow through them, what information the respondents know about these conferences since they began, and what knowledge they have about the topics they discussed and the recommendations that you specifically identified in the course The last one, held in January 2022 in particular, and the extent of the impact of those conferences on the beliefs, trends and political decisions of public opinion and the aspects of those influences, and the public opinion’s assessment of the efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state in youth conferences.
The researcher employed the theory of the public sphere as a theoretical framework to assess the extent to which a political arena is available in political conferences for young people that respects the rights of individuals and increases the strength of society. Considering that the communication that occurs in the public sphere is free from institutional coercion, and calls for the creation of a dialogue that is outside the control of the government and the economy, and the extent to which there is the possibility of participation on an equal basis, and there is not necessarily knowledge between the participants in the public sphere with each other, but they have an awareness and understanding of the issue or interest in the events particular, or expressing a view of society or the world.
The study used the field survey method by relying on the sample survey method, where a questionnaire was designed and applied to a sample of 400 respondents from the Egyptian public who follow these conferences through the media to identify their attitudes towards those conferences, their evaluation and their suggestions for development.
The results of the study showed that social networking sites came in the first place for the means through which the respondents follow the activities of political conferences, because it helps to increase the level of understanding of events because there is analysis and interpretation with the transfer of events and provides the opportunity to follow the events from all their destinations without focusing on a specific part or personality Certain, 62.3% of the respondents, the follow-up to state conferences for youth can affect their decisions, beliefs and political trends, and in the forefront of these effects is the feeling of reassurance about my future and national future and increasing confidence in officials and community leaders, 77.3% of the respondents would like to participate in the youth conference for its next session At the forefront of the reasons for wanting to participate to benefit from the experiences and expertise presented at the conference, and in their evaluation of the efforts made by the Egyptian state in youth conferences, 43.6% of the respondents believed that it “is making a great and clear effort in those conferences, making it an honorable front for Egypt before the world.”
