The impact of democracy in the recent Egyptian presidential elections on women’s political participation (a comparative study between Egypt and America

Abstract

Egyptian women gained a lot of political rights after the last presidential elections, this is in an attempt by the state to empower Egyptian women, hence, the study aimed to identify the challenges facing Egyptian women that limit their participation in the political field. And getting to know the reality of women's political participation in Egypt, the reality of American women's participation in the political field. The study used the descriptive comparative method. The study foundthat the Egyptian state is seeking steady steps towards the empowerment of Egyptian women, however, women face many obstacles that limit their empowerment. It is also clear that the process of empowering American women suffers from fluctuations in recent years, despite the increase in the percentage of women's participation in the political field.
