Abstract

The paper focused on the study of the Somali experience in using the pages of News personalities on Facebook by learning about the methods of organizing and managing them, and mechanisms for verifying news in them, and studying the content of the publications by analyzing all the publications presented on the pages of news professionals Abdirazak Atosh, Ali Adan Muumin and Khalid Foodhaadhi from (1-31 December 2020).
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach, using the content analysis tool, relying on the publication as an analysis unit for the published contents and a sample consisting of (421 posts) published in the specified period of the study,
The most important results of the study indicate that the Somali street follows up on the latest news through Facebook pages and interacts with them, and the pages of media figures rely on self-sources (page editors) as the first source for news, and more than 32 Posts are published per page per a week, and the image is used in publications to add a kind. From realism and credibility.
Most news page administrations use WhatsApp groups as a newsroom to verify and confirm information before it is broadcast on the Facebook page. The study also confirmed Facebook’s endeavor to support the media by developing the CrowdTangle tool and training media professionals.
