Indicators of dimensional analysis of the use of digital media in media Literacy research

Abstract

The study aimed to identify current attitudes of digital media use in media literacy research in both Arab and foreign studies? The researcher used a meta-analysis approach for several Arab and foreign studies from 2015 to 2020, which amounted to ninety-four studies. The study discovered research problems, curricula, and tools, society, and a sample of studies, as well as focusing on research issues and topics, by utilizing the quantitative and quantitative content analysis. Results indicated a deficiency in Arab research in digital media use and neglect of many research topics touched on by American and European studies, which now represent specific research trends such as news literacy, advertising literacy, and digital games; role in enhancing skills of digital media literacy. In addition to Arab studies focusing on quantitative measurement tools such as questionnaire and quantitative content analysis tools, It also heavily focused on university and school students categories as research society, At a time when American and European studies have been concerned with digital media education, many groups of society have studied with a clear diversity in quantitative and qualitative study performance (for example codified interview, observation, discussion groups and qualitative analysis of data and Internet posts) and practical (for instance tests and training programs).
